Where should I invest my insurance settlement money?
Posted by MarkAug 14
I received a settlement from a car accident, I don’t need to spend the money so I would like to invest it, but I’m not quite sure where or how. Any suggestions?
Yes, I didn’t really want anything risky like stocks, more like putting it in a CD or Roth IRA or something. I just have never done anything so i’m inexperiened with this sort of thing

Yes …yes… a ROTH IRA…. but not at CD rates …open your ROTH with someone like Fidelity and get into just a simple, basic " balanced " mutual fund…….. that money will work for you for years…and all the GAINS will be YOURS……………seriously, don’t think of it as "complicated" or "too much trouble"….nothing to it…just visit a website…get application…
… after you’ve seen it work for awhile…you can do more advanced reading and learn how to make even better returns….OR you can do nothing ( maybe add a little ecery year..OR whenever you feel like it ….BUT it’s STILL THERE>>>>working for you…) yeah !! DO IT
GOLD!! In this economy, it’s the only safe and prosperous place.
I can tell you one thing… don’t listen to what strangers have to say.
The economy’s bogus right now. Right when we thought we were free and clear, Europe had to implode on us.
If you really want to invest it, open up a brokerage account and talk to a financial advisor. Don’t mess around with anything too risky right now, but put it out there. I would recommend learning how to short-sell stocks… because they’re all going down right now! The foreign exchange market also looks extremely lucrative right now, but I’m not sure how long that will last.
The problem with investing is… it requires a great deal of education (not even education but experience), and by the time you can realize you can really make a killing off of something, it’s over. The experience gained is still invaluable though, as you will be ready for the next opportunity.

I would suggest splitting your money up 3 ways. Say, about 40% in Funds and large cap stocks, another 40% in precious metals, and the last 20% in HYIPs (high yield investment programs). The first two will both generate about 15-20% per year whereas HYIP are riskier but can generate that same profit per month. So the stable performers can keep you afloat but HYIPs will make you great profits quickly.
