Insurance Settlement – Are medical bills and pain in suffering in the same check?

I was in a car accident and the other driver was at fault. I have received money for my car and am awaiting the settlement paper work to finalize. Will the insurance company pay my medical bills for my injuries AND pain and suffering or will they just give me money for pain and suffering and expect to pay my medical bills from that?

That depends on what was in your settlement agreement. If you have outstanding medical bills from the accident you need to specify in the settlement that the insurance company will pay those directly. You also need to specify the amount of money they will be paying so that there is no issue later on about what the agreement was. If you have already agreed to the settlement and you did not specify that the insurance company was to pay all medical bills resulting from the accident in addition to the settlement check then you will have to pay those bills yourself from the money you receive as a result of the settlement.
